Hearing (Glockner) May 18, 2006
TOWN OF HOLDEN
ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
HEARING

Peter & Jennifer Glockner                                        Case No. SP 0606

The Zoning Board of Appeals held a public hearing on Thursday, May 18, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in Memorial Hall, 1196 Main Street, Holden, MA on the Application of Peter & Jennifer Glockner for property located at 213 Brattle Street for a Special Permit for an accessory apartment. Members of the Board in attendance: Ronald Spakauskas, Ronald Oslebo, Jack LaPrade, Silvio Annunziata and Roy Fraser.

The Chairman called the hearing to order. Since there were no objections, reading of the legal notice and list of abutters was waived. The secretary read the Application and Findings of Fact.

Mr. Glockner addressed the Board and gave an overview of the case. His father is handicapped and the accessory apartment will be 750 square feet. However, he is requesting an additional 100 square feet in order to make room for turning areas to accommodate his needs.

Jane Zottoli, 159 Bailey Road, commented that it appears the applicant is doubling the size of his house.

R. Spakauskas asked for confirmation from the applicant that the accessory apartment will be attached to the house. Mr. Glockner answered yes; there will be no door between the two.

Since there were no further comments or questions, the public hearing was officially closed at 7:40 p.m.

The Board voted unanimously to approve the special permit with the conditions: 1) The applicant must adhere to Section XIJ.3(h) of the Town of Holden Zoning Bylaw; 2) The permit was granted with the special request of 850 square feet for handicapped purposes.
